Inter manager Antonio Conte was right to hit back at pundit Fabio Capello’s claims that his side are a counter-attacking team following the 3-1 win over Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Whilst it may have been the case that Inter gave the impression of being a counter-attacking side due to the stats from the match, the report from the Milanese newspaper side with Conte in saying that this is not Inter’s game plan.

Inter’s game plan is instead focused upon dominating the opponent and having the lion share of possession, as was the case with all of Antonio Conte’s previous clubs too.

Conte, who took charge of the Nerazzurri this Summer after a year away from football, has Inter currently sitting tied for points at the of the Serie A table with arch-rivals Juventus.

The two sides are tied at the top with 45 points to their name and it is Inter who occupy first spot at the moment due to their superior goal difference.
