Arturo Vidal continues to want to leave Barcelona in order to join Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

His club Barcelona have been reluctant to drop their €20 million demands for him but now that manager Ernesto Valverde is coming round to the idea of letting him go, things could change.

There has been a complete breakdown in relations between Vidal and Valverde, who has asked clubs bosses to sign Dinamo Zagreb’s Dani Olmo as Vidal’s replacement.

Should Barcelona succeed in the Spanish Super Cup, the club are likely to take Valverde’s suggestion on board and reward him by signing Olmo but failure could mean Barcelona ignore his suggestion which could in turn further complicate Inter’s attempts to land Vidal.

32-year-old Chilean international Vidal has made 20 appearances across all competitions this season for the Blaugrana. In 811 minutes on the field, he has scored six goals and provided a single assist.
