Inter could send Matteo Politano to Fiorentina to get preferential treatment for Gaetano Castrovilli according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Castrovilli is deemed an ideal player for Inter manager Antonio Conte’s midfield and Inter could offer Politano to La Viola in a bid to get closer to him.

It remains to be seen if Inter will look to send Politano to La Viola this month and then pursue Castrovilli in the Summer or if they will just use him as part of the deal for Castrovilli.

If a deal cannot be done with Fiorentina, Politano could well end up at Napoli as part of a swap deal that would see Fernando Llorente head to Inter, the report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to detail.

If unable to do a deal with Napoli involving Llorente and if Politano ends up elsewhere, Inter could go in for Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud or SPAL’s Andrea Petagna to replace him.
