Inter and Danilo D’Ambrosio have reached an agreement over a two year extension to his contract with the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 31-year-old is currently under contract until the end of next season therefore meaning that this extension will tie him down to the club until the Summer of 2023.

D’Ambrosio joined the club back in January 2014 from fellow Serie A club Torino and has since went on to represent the club 191 times across all competitions.

The Italian international is currently sidelined due to injury and is not expected to return until the end of this month having picked up a muscle injury in training recently.

This season he has made 14 appearances across all competitions primarily as a right wing back but he has on occasion been used as a centre back. In just shy of 1000 minutes on the park, he has scored one goal.
