Inter could ask for Krzysztof PiÄ…tek from city rivals AC Milan in a swap deal that would see Matteo Politano head in the opposite direction according to a report from Passione Inter.

In the past few days AC Milan have sparked an interest in signing Politano and are understood to have suggested the possibility of a swap but the players they proposed to exchange – Ricardo Rodriguez and Franck Kessie – were of no interest to Inter.

However, the report goes on to state that Inter could ask for PiÄ…tek as he would fill their need for a player capable of playing as back-up to club record signing Romelu Lukaku. It is as yet unclear how the Rossoneri feel about the idea though.

The Polish international striker has struggled for form this season having netted just four goals in 18 appearances across all competitions but showed what he was capable of last season as he scored 30 goals in 42 appearances.

Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa have both also been linked with moves for him as well.
