Mauro Icardi will reject Paris Saint Germain if they take up their option to sign him permanently as he wants a move to Juventus instead according to a report in today’s print edition of La Repubblica this season.

Icardi arrived at PSG in the Summer transfer window on a season long loan with PSG having an option to sign him up permanently for a sum of €70 million but the player has a clause which allows him to reject them.

The 26-year-old Argentine has been in fine form since arriving in the French capital having scored 17 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions, including a hat trick in their recent 6-1 win over Saint Etienne.

His wife, and agent, Wanda Nara has been planning his Summer return to Italy since before Christmas, the report goes on to explain.

Icardi has a €110 million release clause in his current contract which is only valid for clubs outside of Italy meaning that if Juventus want him, they will have to sit down and hold talks with Inter which is far easier said than done due to the hostile relationship between the clubs.
