Ashley Young has rejected Manchester United’s offer of a contract extension due to having his sights set on a move to Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 34-year-old’s deal with the Premier League side is up at the end of the season and due to this he has been able to hold talks with Inter regarding a pre-contract with some reports even suggesting terms have already been agreed on an 18 month deal.

United are desperate to not lose their club captain for nothing but the 39-time England international is adamant that he wants to play under Antonio Conte at the Nerazzurri.

The report goes on to state that Inter have went in for Young due to facing difficult in acquiring other targets, namely Chelsea duo Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri. Chelsea are understood to be demanding in excess of €30 million for each of them and do not look like they will drop their demands.
