AC Milan need to sell Krzysztof Piątek if they wish to sign Matteo Politano outright from Inter this month according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere della Sera.
The Rossoneri club have sparked an interest in signing Politano in recent days and had enquired about a loan move but Inter rejected this proposal as they are looking to sell Politano outright to help them fund moves for their own transfer targets.
Other reports in the media in recent days have suggested Inter are looking for a sum of between €20-25 million to let the former Sassuolo man go.
Inter would also allow Politano to leave in a loan swap deal but Franck Kessie will not be part of it with AC Milan chief executive Ivan Gazidis ruling his inclusion out, at least for the time being.
Politano has made 14 appearances across all competitions this season but has been limited to just two starts. In his 305 minutes on the field, he has failed to make any goal contributions.
