The San Siro is expected to be almost full tonight during Inter’s league clash against Atalanta, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how 70,000 spectators are expected in tonight’s game, with 3000 away fans expected to make the journey from Bergamo to Milan.
This will be the third match of this season with over 70 thousand fans inside the stadium, after Inter’s league clash against Juventus and Inter’s Champions League meeting with Barcelona.
Inter’s home average is currently 63,697, but after tonight’s clash exceed an average of 64,000, the report highlights.
The Nerazzurri have the the highest average of spectators per game in Italy, although other top clubs around Europe have higher numbers. Borussia Dortmund are top of the pack, with an average of 81,074 fans per match.
Bayern Munich are second with 75,000, with Barcelona in third with 74,564 and Manchester United in fourth with 72,419.
If Inter continue filling the San Siro, they could look to overtake fifth place Real Madrid, who only have an average of 64,355 fans per game.
