Inter captain Samir Handanovic discussed the Nerazzurri’s 1-1 draw against Atalanta last night in an interview with Italian broadcaster Inter TV.
“In the first half we played very well. In the second half the opponents came out and put us a bit down. I think the result is right, Atalanta are a very strong and difficult team to face. In the second half we couldn’t handle the ball as well as before, we couldn’t hold the ball, so the battles started again, and we suffered in our half.”
The Slovenian shot stopper then spoke about the penalty he saved in last night’s game.
“Skriniar and Barella’s affection is a nice image, I rejoice when they score.”
Finally, Handanovic discussed the things the squad still need to do to improve.
“We’ve made a lot of progress in a short time, but we still need to grow in terms of game management. We’re ready to improve. From tomorrow we’ll already be thinking about Inter-Cagliari. It’s a very important game for us because it gives us the opportunity to win.”
