Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi discussed the Nerazzurri’s 1-1 draw against Atalanta last night in an interview with Italian broadcaster Inter TV.
“We knew it was a difficult game, with a very high tempo. We tried high press in the first half, then in the second half the opponents fought for the pitch, but we reacted well, even in difficult moments. We suffered, together, and we brought home an important point.”
The 24-year-old Italian then spoke about the lessons the Nerazzurri have taken away from the game.
“Atalanta have put all the teams in the league in trouble, pushing them through their game. We’ve learned to suffer during the season. We’ll review the mistakes we made tomorrow to move forward.”
“We’re happy with our work so far, but not enough, we always want to give more. We don’t have to get ahead of ourselves, it’s a long season and we want to get to the end in the best possible way.”
Finally, Sensi spoke about his return to the pitch.
“I was fine physically, although it’s clear you can feel almost three months of inactivity. I’m training with great intensity, I haven’t had any problems and that’s the important thing.”
