Inter are pushing to sign Christian Eriksen this month according to a report in today’s print edition of Roman newspaper La Repubblica.

The 27-year-old Danish international’s contract with Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur is due to expire at the end of the season and Spurs have slapped a €20 million price-tag on his head.

Inter have already tabled an offer to the former Ajax man and if he accepts, they will then hold talks with Spurs over his transfer.

Inter are not the only club interested in signing Eriksen, who has been with the north London based club since 2013, with Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid both also understood to be keen on signing him.

The report goes on to state that Inter’s pursuit of Arturo Vidal will be affected by what goes on with Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde.

Pressure is building on Valverde after he failed to guide the team to Spanish Super Cup glory and if sacked, it could mean that Vidal changes his mind. If he stays though, Vidal is likely to continue to push to be allowed to leave.
