Flamengo have reached an agreement over personal terms with Inter striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

Gabigol’s wage demands had initially proved an obstacle in Flamengo’s bid to sign the 23-year-old on a permanent basis but this obstacle has now been overcome.

Flamengo now need to sit down again with Inter to thrash out a deal. The two clubs had had an agreement in principle which was reached back in August but after the player fired Flamengo to Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Copa Libertadores glory in the time since, Inter are wanting more for him.

As per the report a sum of €4-5 million currently separates the clubs. They had provisionally agreed on a €16 million fee but the report does not specify how much Inter are now demanding for the player they signed for €30 million from Santos back in the Summer of 2016.
