Inter need to sell Matteo Politano before completing the signing of Olivier Giroud according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter reached an agreement in principle with Giroud over personal terms last week on the basis of an 18 month deal and have already offered Chelsea €5 million plus bonuses for him, a deal which Chelsea appear almost convinced to accept.

The deal will not be completed until Politano departs though in order to open up a space in the team and UEFA list. AC Milan, Roma, Napoli and Fiorentina have all shown an interest in signing him as of late and as per reports, Inter are looking for around €20-25 million to part ways with him.

Politano joined the club on a permanent basis this past Summer from Sassuolo following on from a successful loan spell in the 2018/19 season. He has found playing time hard to come by this year with just two of his 15 appearances coming as a starter.
