Arturo Vidal wants a move to Inter regardless of whether Ernesto Valverde remains Barcelona manager or not according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Valverde’s future as Barcelona manager looks to be uncertain having failed to guide the team to winning the Spanish Super Cup and other reports in recent days have suggested that were he to be sacked, it could lead to Vidal re-thinking about wanting to leave Barcelona.

Corriere dello Sport however insist that this is not the case and Vidal has already made his decision. He wants to leave the reigning Spanish champions and be reunited with his former manager Antonio Conte.

Vidal is understood to be one of Inter’s top transfer targets this month but have found dealing with Barcelona to be easier said than done. Despite his clear desire to move on, Barcelona remain adamant that they will not let the 32-year-old leave for any less than €20 million.
