There is a distance of £2 million (approximately €2.3 million) in negotiations between Inter and Chelsea over Olivier Giroud according to a report from British newspaper The Daily Mail.

Giroud has already agreed personal terms over a move to the Nerazzurri, who are now trying to thrash out a deal with the Premier League side.

As per the report, Inter have offered £4.5 million whilst Chelsea want £6.5 million (€5.2 and €7.5 million approximately) for the veteran French striker, whose contract with the club is due to expire at the end of this season.

Giroud is understood to be Inter’s primary target for the attack as Inter manager Antonio Conte looks to secure a player capable of playing as a back-up to Romelu Lukaku.

Giroud has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea this season and has been limited to just seven appearances across all competitions. In 282 minutes on the field, he has scored one goal.
