Inter remain interested in signing Manchester United captain Ashley Young this month according to a report from British broadcaster Sky Sports.

Inter appear close to agreeing a swap deal with Roma that would see Matteo Politano head to the capital and left back Leonardo Spinazzola head to Inter but this deal will seemingly have no affect on Inter’s pursuit of Young.

The Nerazzurri club have already agreed personal terms with the 34-year-old, whose contract with the Red Devils is due to expire at the end of this season but they are yet to reach a deal with United over his transfer.

The 39-time England international is really keen on the idea of a move to Inter and would rather leave this month to allow United, who he has played for since 2011, to get something for him rather than nothing for him in the Summer as he feels it would be disrespectful to them.
