Inter are set to give young midfielder Jacopo Gianelli a new contract as a reward for his performances this season according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Gianelli is in his first season with Inter’s Primavera team and has stepped up to the highest youth level with what appears to be relative ease.

He has been virtually ever present for Armando Madonna’s side by appearing in 18 of the Primavera’s 20 games to date across all competitions. In 1275 minutes on the field, the central midfielder has scored one goal.

Inter and Gianelli’s representatives are expected to meet around March/April time to try and reach an agreement over a new and improved deal.

Gianelli, who is an Italian youth international, is currently under contract with the club until the end of next season and the new contract, as per the report, will see him tied to the club for at least a further two years after that.
