Former Juventus and Italy international Simone Pepe has revealed the positions he thinks Inter need to improve in if they wish to improve overall.
“If Inter want to grow, they need to bring in a mezzala, a wing back and another defender,” he explained as part of an interview with Italian television show Tiki Taka.
Pepe, who retired at the end of the 2016/17 season following a 15 year professional career, then went on to share his thoughts on Inter’s pursuit of Barcelona central midfielder Arturo Vidal, who he played alongside at Juventus.
“He is an extraordinary player, in the dressing room he is a very calm boy. He is someone that is liked by everyone, or at least that was the case when we were at Juventus.
“He is not playing much at Barcelona but when he does play he makes a difference in games. He is stronger than Christian Eriksen.”
