Inter are paying close attention to Arturo Vidal’s situation at Barcelona and could go back in for him later in the transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Vidal appeared to be Inter’s number one transfer target for this window but Barcelona’s reluctance to let the Chilean international go made things difficult.

Inter therefore opted to focus in on other players, namely Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen, but that is not to say a move for Vidal is completely off the cards.

Vidal had been pushing to leave the reigning Spanish champions whilst Ernesto Valverde was in charge but he has since been sacked and Quique Setien has taken charge in his place.

Vidal was pushing to leave due to his lack of playing time and lack of a relationship with Valverde and whilst his sacking appears to have calmed Vidal, he could push for the exit door once more if things do not change for him under Setien.
