Inter and Roma continue to negotiate the terms of their proposed swap deal that would see Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola exchanged according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The deal looked set to be completed on a loan with obligation to buy basis but Inter tried to change the terms at the last minute which angered Roma and put the entire move at risk of collapse.

The two clubs resumed talks yesterday and Roma have opened up to the idea of the terms of the deal being changed.

Inter only want it to be an obligation after either a set amount of minutes or set amount of appearances with a set amount of minutes per appearance whilst Roma want it to be an obligation if the players play in half of the remaining games this season.

Both players have already underwent – and passed – medicals with their prospective new employers and it now remains to be seen if the clubs can agree new terms.
