The proposed swap deal between Inter and Roma involving Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola has collapsed according to a report from the online edition of Roman newspaper Il Tempo.

The deal looked on the verge of collapse yesterday but the two clubs appeared to get the deal back on track and reached an agreement of sorts but some details still needed to be ironed out.

Originally it was going to be a loan swap with obligation to buy and no conditions attached to that but Inter tried to change the terms so that it would only become an obligation after a set amount of minutes or appearances.

Roma agreed to hold further talks but the clubs have however failed to reach an agreement and the report goes on to state that the representatives of each of the players – who both passed medicals with the other club – have confirmed that the deal is off between the sides.
