Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso has refused to comment in detail on what the future holds for Dries Mertens and Jose Callejon, with both of their contract set to expire with the club.

“I am not talking about contracts, I am already struggling to do my job. Nobody has knocked on my door, they know who they need to talk to but as I say, nobody has spoken to me,” he said during his pre-match press conference ahead of Napoli’s match at home to Fiorentina tomorrow night.

Mertens has drawn strong links to several clubs in recent weeks and months including Inter. Some reports in recent days have suggested his representatives are trying to find him a new club this month and have already offered him to clubs in the Premier League and La Liga.

The 32-year-old Belgian international has made 22 appearances across all competitions this season in which he has scored nine goals and provided four assists.
