Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce has remained tight lipped on reports linking his side with a possible move for Inter’s Valentino Lazaro this month.

“Well I think I said it last week, it would be wrong to talk about individuals. We have been linked with about 58 players. He is the latest one. I do not want to comment on that just yet,” he explained as part of his pre-match press conference today ahead of the Magpie’s match at home to Chelsea tomorrow.

Lazaro is widely expected to be on his way out of Inter this month on a temporary basis with new signings set to push him down the pecking order at the club.

The 23-year-old Austrian defender, who only joined Inter this past Summer from Hertha Berlin in a circa €20 million deal, has also drawn links with moves to Newcastle’s fellow Premier League side West Ham United as well as Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen.
