Inter may look to sign Chelsea owned winger Victor Moses if they fail to complete the exchange deal with Roma regarding Matteo Politano and Leonardo Spinazzola, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the Nerazzurri are still keen to complete the swap deal with the Giallorossi, due to Politano’s lack of use at the Milanese club. The Nerazzurri have slowed down in their chase for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud because if the club can’t offload Politano, there will be no space for Giroud in the attacking department.
Therefore, the report continues, Inter are considering Moses as a potential option in the wing back department. The 29-year-old Nigerian won the Premier League title with coach Antonio Conte at Chelsea in the 2016/17 season, with the 50-year-old Italian turning Moses into one of the most exciting and deadly wing backs in the league. The player himself would be happy to work again with Conte and Chelsea are open to a loan deal.
However, there is one small issue, the report highlights. Moses is currently on loan in Turkey with Fenerbahce and so the Nerazzurri must convince the club to end his loan deal six months early. The player has made seven appearances across all competitions for the Turkish club so far this season, missing 15 games this season due to a thigh muscle rupture.
Another idea for the Nerazzurri would be to re-open negotiations with Napoli, the report adds. Inter would be happy still to send Politano down to Naples on loan in exchange for Spanish forward Fernando Llorente.
