Valentino Lazaro’s agent Max Hagmayr is to meet with officials from Newcastle United today to hold further talks over a potential move to the Premier League side according to a report from TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Magpies have already reached an agreement in principle on Inter on the basis of a loan with option to buy. Newcastle will pay Inter €2 million to loan Lazaro for the remainder of the season and will have an option to sign him up on a permanent basis for €20 million.

In the coming hours, Newcastle will try and reach an agreement over personal terms with the 23-year-old Austrian defender, who has struggled for game time since his arrival at Inter six months ago.

Lazaro arrived at Inter in a circa €20 million deal from Hertha Berlin during the Summer transfer window but has since went on to represent the club just 11 times across all competitions. Just four of those appearances have come as a starter and in 513 minutes on the field, he has contributed two assists.
