Inter and Manchester United could conduct a swap deal that would see Matias Vecino and Nemanja Matic exchanged according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
United are understood to have taken a keen interest in signing Uruguayan international Vecino from Inter, who, as per other reports, are looking to offload him as they look to strengthen their midfield for the second half of the 2019/20 season and beyond.
Inter have meanwhile drawn several links to United and Serbian international midfielder Nemanja Matic in recent weeks and months. Former Benfica star Matic is no stranger to Inter manager Antonio Conte having worked with him together at Chelsea.
The report from Sport Mediaset goes on to stress that despite the fact Matic’s contract with United is set to expire at the end of this season, a swap deal between the clubs between now and the end of this month cannot be ruled out.
