Olivier Giroud has to wait for Matteo Politano to exit Inter before being able to complete a move to Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Politano was on the verge of leaving for Roma as part of a swap deal that would have seen Leonardo Spinazzola arrive but those talks collapsed when Inter tried to change the terms.

Politano still wants a move to Roma and Roma are understood to still want him as well and Inter are willing to let him go.

The Nerazzurri will allow the 26-year-old winger to depart on a loan with option to buy, that would turn into an obligation to buy after 10 games played or let him join Roma on an 18 month loan with an obligation to buy attached.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that it is looking likely that Matias Vecino will be sticking around at Inter, at least until the end of the season, due to a lack of interest in him from elsewhere.
