Inter and AC Milan officials met with the Milan city council this morning for the first time this year for talks relating to the new stadium project according to a report from Italian news agency ANSA.

The two clubs presented the revised plans from the Populous and Manica-Cmr groups which included the re-functioning of San Siro, as requested by the council the last time the parties all came together, a few months ago.

As per the report from ANSA, San Siro will not be used as an alternative stadium for professional sports but rather for the practice of amateur sports in the future. It will become a sports village of sorts for the Milanese citizens.

All of the parties could meet again for further discussions in 10 days time where it is likely that the Milan city council will give their verdict on the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri clubs’ new plans for the future of San Siro.
