Olivier Giroud’s arrival at Inter is not dependent on the departure of Matteo Politano according to a report from Corriere della Sera.

The report from the Milan based newspaper comes contrary to others reports in the media that have suggested the 33-year-old Frenchman’s arrival is in fact dependent on 26-year-old winger Politano leaving Inter.

Politano’s exit would certainly help Inter close a deal for Giroud quicker but Giroud can definitely still arrive at Inter even if Politano remains.

Roma remain interested in signing Politano after talks over a potential swap deal that would have seen Leonardo Spinazzola head to Inter break down.

The Giallorossi are not the only ones believe to be interest in signing him either with it understood that Napoli are also keen on the former Sassuolo man.

The report goes on to add that developments are expected in Inter’s pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen during this week.
