Newcastle United are hoping to complete a deal for Inter’s Valentino Lazaro as soon as possible after two full backs sustained season ending injuries lately according to a report from British newspaper The Chronicle.

As per the report, the Premier League outfit hope to get a deal done in time for this weekend’s FA Cup match against Oxford United.

Lazaro has already spoken with club officials from the Magpies and his agent Max Hagmayr has also held talks with them over the potential move.

Reports in recent days have suggested that the 23-year-old could join the St James’ Park outfit on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to buy attached.

Lazaro only joined Inter six months ago from Hertha Berlin but despite showing some signs of promise, he has failed to cement a regular place in the starting line-up. He has made 11 appearances this season in which he has tallied two assists.
