Danish journalist Peter Piil has blamed Christian Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots for the fact Eriksen’s move to Inter has taken so long.
“Something went wrong. The agent’s job is critical. I do not personally know Schoots, but he has not done a good job. How long has this saga went on for? In the national team last year, when Eriksen was in front of all his teammates, he said he wanted to try something new in his career,” he explained in an interview with Danish news outlet BT.
“Atletico Madrid had shown an interest during the Summer and then there was interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid and now there is Inter.”
Piil concluded the interview by adding: “Why has the deal with Inter not been completed yet? Agents play an important role in deals and I think it has not been completed yet due to bad work on Schoots’ part.”
