Inter have made an enquiry to Udinese about the availability of Rodrigo de Paul according to a report in today’s print edition of Libero.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has made contact with the Bianconeri club about the possibility of signing the Argentine between now and the end of the transfer window.

Marotta is keen on bringing de Paul into the club due to the number of injuries that have occurred in the midfield with Stefano Sensi, Nicolo Barella, Roberto Gagliardini, Matias Vecino and most recently Marcelo Brozovic all having sustained injuries in recent weeks and months.

Moreover, Vecino is widely expected to leave Inter by the end of this month which only increases Inter’s need to bring in another midfielder as well.

As per the report from Libero, Udinese are likely to continue to demand €25 million for the former Valencia player.

This season the 25-year-old has made 18 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored four goals and provided two assists.
