Inter are among a host of clubs interested in signing Fiorentina midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
Inter manager Antonio Conte would like club management to sign the Italian international in the Summer transfer window ahead of the 2020/21 season but Inter face competition from Napoli and Roma as well as several clubs from the Premier League and the Bundesliga.
For the time being, Fiorentina have no interest in letting the 22-year-old depart the club but it remains to be seen if their stance will change in the Summer.
The former Bari player has only recently signed a new long term contract with La Viola through to the end of the 2023/24 season.
This season he has made 21 appearances across all competitions. In 1823 minutes on the field, Castrovilli has found the back of the net on three occasions and has also provided two assists.
