Inter have decided to pull out of the race to sign Chelsea’s French international striker Olivier Giroud and are instead focusing on including Spanish striker Fernando Llorente in the Matteo Politano deal with Napoli, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported on air moments ago.
According to the report, the Nerazzurri and the Partenopei have agreed terms over the transfer of Italian international winger Matteo Politano on an 18 month loan with an obligation to buy for a fee of €25 million.
During these negotiations, Inter have decided to focus on trying to include Spanish striker Fernando Llorente into the deal on a dry loan until the end of of the season. Politano and Napoli are yet to reach an agreement but according to the report, it seems that there is optimism that an agreement could be found very soon.
This would also mean that the Nerazzurri will no longer go ahead with their plans to try and sign Oliver Giroud from Chelsea.
