Fernando Llorente could be used as a makeweight by Napoli in a deal for Inter winger Matteo Politano according to a report from Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The two clubs are in talks over former Sassuolo player Politano with Inter understood to be demanding €25 million for him.

As per the report, Llorente could be included as part of the deal and could join Inter on loan for the remainder of the season in a move that could well rule out Olivier Giroud arriving at Inter.

The veteran Spanish striker drew links to Inter prior to joining Napoli on a free transfer over the Summer and Inter would appear to have maintained their interest in signing him.

Since arriving at the Azzurri club, the 34-year-old has made 23 appearances across all competitions. In 666 minutes on the park, the former Tottenham Hotspur man has netted four goals and provided a single assist.
