Fiorentina midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli has stressed his commitment to the Viola cause amid rumours linking him with a potential move elsewhere.

“Florence is a second home for me. I am here, and I am only thinking about Fiorentina. I like how people are so close to us, it makes us feel really important,” he stressed in an interview with Italian broadcaster TGR Toscana.

The Italian international central midfielder has been one of the best performing midfielders in Serie A this season and has been one of the biggest revelations.

Castrovilli has drawn links with a move to Inter and several other clubs in recent weeks and months but it will take a considerable amount to convince Fiorentina to part ways with him, even more so given he only recently penned a new long term contract with the club until 2024.

This season the 22-year-old has made 21 appearances across all competitions. In 1823 minutes, he has scored three goals and provided a pair of assists.
