Matteo Politano is open to joining Napoli due to the pay rise on offer according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The 26-year-old winger is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season and earns €1.7 million a season with the club. Napoli are however willing to pay him €2.2 million annually to play for them.

As per various reports in the media, the two clubs have already reached an agreement in principle over a loan with obligation to buy deal for the former Sassuolo player, who has found his minutes this season at Inter heavily reduced compared to last season.

Politano joined Inter on a permanent basis this past Summer after a successful loan during the 2018/19 season and has made 15 appearances across all competitions to date this term. However, just two of those appearances have come as a starter and he has had just 315 minutes on the park in total.
