Gianluca Manganiello has been assigned to referee Inter’s next Serie A match which comes at home to Cagliari on Sunday afternoon.

The 38-year-old official will be refereeing his 13th game across all competitions this season. It will be the first time he referees a match involving Inter but it will be the third time he referees a match involving Cagliari.

Manganiello was in charge of Cagliari’s Serie A match with Genoa on match day four and their Coppa Italia fourth round match-up with Sampdoria with the Rossoblu club winning those matches 3-1 and 2-1 respectively.

In the 12 games he has refereed to date this season, he has dished out 56 yellow cards, four red cards and has awarded four penalties.

Fabiano Preti and Marcos Bresmes will be Manganiello’s assistants at San Siro whilst the fourth official for the match will be Ivano Pezzuto.
