Inter forward Matteo Politano will undergo his medicals with Napoli on Monday before signing his contract with the club, according to a report from Italian media outlet Gianlucadimarzio.com today.

The report details how the two clubs have reached an agreement surrounding the transfer of the 26-year-old Italian striker over the last few days. The operation is a loan deal with a buy option attached, costing the Partenopei €2.5 million in the loan fee with the buy option costing €19 million, plus €2 million in bonuses relating to his appearances and Napoli’s qualification to the Champions League.

Inter have given the go ahead for Politano to undergo his medical examinations on Monday, the report continues. He is expected to choose the number 21 shirt. The player’s contract is worth around €2.2 million net per season plus €300 thousand in easily attainable bonuses.

Politano has made 63 appearances for Inter in his career, scoring six goals and providing six assists in that time.
