Inter are hard at work offloading players who aren’t important to coach Antonio Conte’s project, with the futures of both Brazilian striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa and Italian full back Federico Dimarco set to be decided next week, according to a report in today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how English side Newcastle finalised their deal for Austrian midfielder Valentino Lazaro yesterday, on the basis of a loan deal with a €25 million buy option attached. Gabigol is set to remain with Flamengo, who he scored 34 goals in 41 appearances last season. The Brazilian side have finally reached an agreement with the Nerazzurri regarding the deal.
Dimarco is close to joining fellow Italian side Hellas Verona, the report continues. The 22-year-old Italian, who is contracted to the Milanese side until 2023, has only made three appearances across all competitions so far this season, failing to convince Conte. His move to Verona is only awaiting the final consent of the 50-year-old Italian coach.
