Inter goalkeeper and club captain Samir Handanovic spoke with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia post-match to reflect upon Inter’s 1-1 draw with Cagliari.

“It is always annoying when you do not win the game, we always want to win. We were unable to take advantage of the chances we had,” he explained.

“We certainly didn’t draw because of the referee, we only complained because no foul was called for our attackers but it was different for them. We don’t blame the referee for our draw, we have to kill games off and if we did that we wouldn’t have to talk about all this.”

The Slovenian shot-stopper then went on to speak about the number of goals Inter have conceded as of late.

“We are missing something for sure, but it is not just a defensive problem. In the final third, we are lacking concentration. We must kill games off. Certain mistakes should not be made.

“Am I worried about the recent run of form? No, because we are still creating chances. We create a lot, but in the end there is a lack of quality. It’s a poor moment sure but it’s certainly more worrying when you don’t create chances.”
