Inter club captain and goalkeeper Samir Handanovic has reflected on Inter’s 1-1 draw at home to Cagliari in an interview with Inter TV post-match.

“We need to kill games off. Today we had many chances to do that but could not finish the game off. We are sorry and we are bitter but we have to go on,” the Slovenian international shot-stopper stressed.

“When you cannot win a game like this one, there is both anger and bitterness. We could not manage the game as we wanted to. Cagliari done everything to try and get a draw.”

The 35-year-old, who has been ever present for Inter this season, then spoke on Inter’s next match which comes against Fiorentina in a few days time.

“Now we must quickly forget this draw and prepare for Wednesday. Anything we failed to do today, will have to be done on Wednesday in the Coppa Italia against Fiorentina.”
