Tomasso Berni was shown a red card following the full time whistle of Inter’s 1-1 draw at home to Cagliari this afternoon according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The Inter reserve goalkeeper rushed on to the pitch at the end of the game alongside a number of other Inter substitutes and the club’s coaching staff to confront referee Gianluca Manganiello, who had sent off Inter striker Lautaro Martinez just moments prior.

Berni proceeded to ironically congratulate Manganiello on his poor performance at San Siro and Manganiello did not take kindly to Berni’s actions and then brandished the red card.

The 36-year-old shot-stopper, who joined Inter back in the Summer of 2014, has never made a competitive appearance for the club.

Despite the fact he has never taken to the field, Berni, who can count Sampdoria, Lazio and Ternana among his former employers, is seen as a very positive influence on the dressing room.
