Inter could still welcome two more players to the club before the end of the January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri intend to bring in another striker and it will be one of Napoli’s Fernando Llorente and Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud that arrive.
Inter showed an interest in taking Llorente as part of the deal that sent Matteo Politano to Napoli but Napoli were not keen to include him.
However, with Napoli seemingly eyeing a new striker themselves, it could open things up for Llorente to leave. As per the report, for the next two days anyway, Inter will monitor the situation of Llorente. If after those two days he’s unavailable they will finalise a deal for Giroud.
Inter also want to bring in another midfielder in the event that Matias Vecino departs the club and it looks likely that he will.
Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal remains the dream signing but Inter could bring in either of Bayer Leverkusen’s Charles Aranguiz or Parma’s Juraj Kucka.
The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to conclude that Inter have reached an agreement with Flamengo over the permanent transfer of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa. Inter will get around €16.5 million for the 23-year-old striker and will be entitled to 20% of a future sale.
