Olivier Giroud wants to leave Chelsea today as he does not wish to risk missing out on a place in France’s squad for this Summer’s European Championship’s according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The 33-year-old Frenchman has drawn strong links to Inter in recent weeks and reportedly already has an agreement with the Nerazzurri club over personal terms.

Reports in the Italian media suggested his arrival was linked to the departure of Matteo Politano and once Politano departed, Inter were expected to finalise a deal for the former Arsenal striker but that did not happen.

Inter changed their mind entirely about wanting to bring in a new striker and considered their January business to be done but they have changed their mind again and are trying to bring in a striker again and there has been fresh contact.

The report from the Turin newspaper goes on to state that Giroud, who has also drawn links to Tottenham Hotspur and Lazio, is unlikely to be allowed to leave Chelsea unless they manage to bring in a replacement.
