Speaking in an interview with Italian radio station Rai Radio 1 show ‘Radio Anch’io Lo Sport’ this morning, legendary Italian football manager Fabio Capello has shared his thoughts on Inter’s performance in their 2-0 win over Udinese last night.

“Inter are potentially the anti-Juve, even if yesterday they suffered in Udine. It was a very bad and hard match for them. Inter did not seem to have the same power that they usually have but it is an excellent victory for them after many draws,” he began.

Capello then discussed Inter’s squad and insisted that he believes Juventus cannot afford to rest on their laurels and simply rely on Cristiano Ronaldo to lead them to the Serie A title for what would be the ninth title in a row.

“Inter have signed many important players but they do not make a difference like Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku do. Juventus must be very careful. They have a better quality squad but they must not relax and always pin their hopes on Cristiano Ronaldo.”

Capello, who was at the helm of Inter’s city rivals AC Milan during the early to mid 1990s, then went on to discuss the difference between Inter’s newest recruit Christian Eriksen and Stefano Sensi.

Eriksen arrived at Inter during the January transfer window from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur and made his first start in last night’s match in Udine but struggled to perform to the best of his ability.

“I already said yesterday that in my opinion Eriksen and Sensi have more or less the same value. Sensi is younger but has just as good vision as the Dane does. Maybe he is also more dynamic but the manager wants someone with charisma in the middle of the field and Eriksen has played in the Premier League.”
