In an interview with FCInterNews.it, Inter January transfer window recruit Martin Satriano’s agent Nick Maytum has given an insight into what kind of player his client is.
The 18-year-old starlet completed a transfer deadline day switch to Inter from Uruguayan Primera Division outfit Nacional in a deal worth a reported €1.2 million.
Satriano, who is primarily a striker, has joined Inter on a four and a half year deal and will report to Inter’s Primavera team initially.
Maytum firstly spoke on what Satriano is like and went so far as to compare him to current Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
“He is a footballer with an impressive physique, but also with a lot of technique and magic. He can score from anywhere on the field.
“Everyone says that he is the new Ibra because of his physique and technique but I say that he plays similarly to Lewandowski. His best skills are strength and technique.
“He just wants to focus on himself. Obviously he thinks that Ibrahimovic is a phenomenon, but he just wants to work hard and train to achieve his goals.”
He then spoke on how the move to Italy came about.
“Serie A suits his style of play and Italy is an excellent country for him grow and learn for his future.”
Next he spoke on how his client feels to have joined Inter and how long he thinks it will take for the youngster to get a chance in the first team under Antonio Conte.
“For Martin it is a dream to have signed up for a club like the Nerazzurri. He is very proud to be part of a club like the Nerazzurri.
“When will he be in the first team? This really depends on him. Martin is in Italy to work very hard, do the best for the club and try to take advantage of every opportunity he will be given. To start, he wants to learn and grow here, thinking about each day as it comes.”
In conclusion he reiterated his client’s delight at having joined the Nerazzurri.
“Inter are a great club, which is struggling to win Serie A. He is very proud to play in a historic club like the Nerazzurri.”
