Samir Handanovic is 99% certain to miss this weekend’s second Milan derby of the season due to injury according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Inter captain sustained a hand injury during training on Friday with x-rays showing he had sustained a hairline fracture to one of his fingers.

The 35-year-old is doing everything he can to try and be back but the chances of him being able to play are slim to none. Therefore Daniele Padelli will play for the second straight weekend having stood in for him this past weekend in Inter’s 2-0 win away to Udinese.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Stefano Sensi will be back to face the Rossoneri. Perhaps as soon as today, if not tomorrow, he could return to full training with the rest of his teammates having now overcome the calf injury that has kept him out of action for a few weeks.
