Inter central midfielder Stefano Sensi has addressed the reported interest in his services from reigning Spanish champions Barcelona.
Speaking in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, the Italian international admitted that whilst nice to be linked with the Blaugrana, he is fully focused on the task at hand with Inter.
“It is nice and it makes me proud but I am thinking only about Inter, and I will give everything for this shirt,” he explained to Sport Mediaset at an event last night.
The 24-year-old, who joined Inter this past Summer in a loan with option to buy deal from fellow Serie A side Sassuolo, is currently nursing a calf injury and has admitted he will do what he can to be back for this coming weekend’s Derby della Madonnina with AC Milan.
“I am up for it, I want to be there at all costs. In some games the league table means nothing.”
Sensi also commented on the recent arrival of Christian Eriksen, who arrived at the club from Tottenham Hotspur for a reported €20 million during the January transfer window.
“The Italian league is very different from the English one but he is a great player who will give us a hand.”
Next he spoke on Inter’s chances of winning the Serie A title.
“We can win because we are a nice group. A lot has changed but you never know, we will do our best.”
He also spoke on Daniele Padelli, who made his league debut for Inter in between the sticks in Sunday’s win over Udinese.
“Padelli has proven that he is at the right level still even after not playing for a long time.”
